With much sadness we learnt that one of the Dutch Enlightened Lions and Wolves of Belgium, Agent @Fordrax (Jari), passed away in night from 29 to 30 November at the age of 31.
He was an extraordinary Agent who played almost exclusively on foot. He participated in numerous events from Operations to Anomalies. He was always willing to help locally, nationally and internationally.
He will be missed by both the Dutch Lions and the Wolves of Belgium.
The funeral will take place coming Friday, 4 December. In his honour, let's light a beacon at noon CET on that day.
Lets keep his motto alive: "Keep it green."

Operation "Austin we have a problem!" took flight December 27 2020 In Austin Texas USA. 16 agents created loads of green fields for the 5pm checkpoint. With 29M MUs these Agents certainly finished the year in true Enlightened fashion. Great job Agents.

As you may know, a strong earthquake has hit Petrinja, Glina and Sisak 2 days before New Year's Eve. Help is needed for volunteers from Croatian Red Cross to keep providing services to people that lost their homes.
Many of the destroyed houses belong to small family farms and people just can't leave their ruined homes, so now they are living in housing containers.
How can the Ingress community help?
You can now donate money directly. Croatians and Europeans have sent clothes, food and other first-minute necessities and there is no immediate need for aid in food and clothes. Money is needed for repairs as volunteers and many companies are working for free, building materials still have to be bought.
As an option, one of the organizers, @mrki008 has chosen the portal cinipravustvar that is a crowd donation platform that does not charge any fees - you donate 75 kuna (10 eur) and it goes directly to Red Cross Croatia. No credit card fees or SWIFT banking cost - those are covered by platform!

A New Ingress Year is here, Frogs. Let’s play
Due to the ongoing pandemic many of us are experiencing difficult times. Many agents are playing under severely restricted circumstances and official events are currently on hold.
In the spirit of the Enlightened Community 🐸 and the joy of global co-creation and collaboration, we – a group of Swedish frogs - have put together a banner project called The Frog Wall, and are inviting Enlightened Agents from all over the world to join in.
Let’s all make the best of the lock-down by sharing our creativity, and design an endless banner as a team, while we look forward to completing when it’s possible to explore the outside more freely, in our hometowns and beyond.

From Friday, January 15, 17:00 UTC to Tuesday, January 19, 17:00 UTC, the cooldown time of Drone Mark I will be reduced from 60 minutes to 15 minutes.
A collective goal of achieving a total of 400,000 Drone hacks or Drone Glyph hacks during this event will unlock a 2X drop rate of Power Cubes following the event, from Tuesday, January 19th 17:00 UTC to Tuesday, January 26th 17:00 UTC.

At the beginning of January, there was the end of the 50th cycle of 2020 for AF14-SIERRA-05 and the Turkish Eagles has broken their record of 49-1 by setting the bar at 50-0 in the most dense cell of Turkey, which also contributed to global score whole year.
Therefore they set Enlightened fireworks and beacons to celebrate the victory at 18.00 UTC on January 3. They will continue to enlighten the world.

The sitrep shows the real story of dedication and pursuit of a goal as within two months there were 9 unsuccessful attempts to create the field. Supported by the Agent @SrMvo, on November 8, the Agent Mharmeh finished the operation by creating in Brazil the first HCF6 of South America.
