In the initial stage, the raw material, which consists of animal skins, undergoes several preparatory steps. Firstly, the selected animal skins are dried before being transported to a specialized factory. At this factory, the skins are thoroughly washed in a mixture of water and lime to remove dirt. Having been soaked in lime in the next step, the material is flattened by passing it through a machine equipped with large rollers.

Moving on to the second stage, the flattened skins are immersed in tannin, a liquid containing water and vegetable matter. After tanning, another set of rollers is used to smooth the skins. Finally, the processed skins are transferred to a separate factory, where various types of leather goods are manufactured and made available for consumers.
