IDF: Chief of the General Staff to Commanders in Judea and Samaria: “Alongside the ongoing fight against terrorism in Judea and Samaria, we are closely monitoring developments in Iran and maintaining a high level of readiness. We monitored today’s launch toward the Aqaba area, and our Aerial Defense Array remains on alert to protect Israeli civilians. We are prepared to immediately resume combat and will act with great determination against anyone who harms us.”

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, held a situational assessment today (Sunday) in the Judea and Samaria Division together with the Commander of the Central Command, MG Avi Bluth, the Head of the Technology and Logistics Directorate, MG Rami Abudraham, the Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, BG Kobi Heller, and the commanders of the regional brigades operating in the sector.

During the visit, the Chief of the General Staff conducted a situational assessment, during which commanders presented the operational picture in the sector, counterterrorism efforts, troop activities, and preparations for upcoming operational missions. He also met with the regional brigade commanders, reviewed the multi-front operational challenges as well as those specific to the Judea and Samaria sector, and expressed his appreciation for their continued operational efforts to safeguard the security of the State of Israel and counter terrorism throughout the area.

Remarks by the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir:

“Alongside the ongoing fight against terrorism in Judea and Samaria, we are closely monitoring developments in Iran and maintaining a high level of readiness. We monitored today’s launch toward the Aqaba area, and our Aerial Defense Array remains on alert to protect Israeli civilians. We are prepared to immediately resume combat and will act with great determination against anyone who harms us.

I want to express my appreciation to the troops who operate in this area every day and continue to achieve significant operational successes. Thanks to your efforts, the number of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria is among the lowest seen in recent years.

Alongside our determined fight against terrorism and our efforts to strengthen the communities, nationalist crime undermines both security and the communities themselves. We must not accept this, and we will continue working together with the ISA and the Israel Police to eradicate this phenomenon.

Alongside our high level of readiness for multi-front combat, the Judea and Samaria sector remains a constant operational focus. I am fully aware of the significant challenges you will face in the coming period, during which you will be required to maintain a high level of readiness to respond rapidly to emerging incidents while preserving security and stability throughout the sector.”
