Many of you may or may not have heard of Boys Town.
โBoys Townโ was founded in December, 1917 as an orphanage for boys.
Boys Town was started by Father Edward Flanagan, a Catholic Priest who worked at the Diocese of Omaha during this time.
The idea was to give these boys (and later in the 1970s included girls) a family and a home.
Over the many decades the โCity of Young Menโ, as it was often referred to, grew so big that the โBoys Townโ orphanage grew into a little village with as many as 800 boys in the program.
