Defence Minister Rajnath Singh released the ‘RAKSHA’ document on Defence Diplomacy in New Delhi. In a statement, the Defence Ministry has said that the comprehensive document outlines India’s strategic roadmap and vision for global defence partnerships over the next ten years.

The Ministry said that the document marks a shift towards more proactive strategic engagement, aligning national security objectives with proactive global cooperation, fostering long-term stability and mutual growth.

The strategic framework focuses on four key pillars. These include strengthening bilateral and multilateral security cooperation, enhancing capacity building through joint military exercises, training programmes and sharing of best practices with friendly nations, promoting indigenous defence exports under the Make in India initiative, and strengthening maritime security.

Defence diplomacy is a key pillar of India’s foreign policy. The ‘RAKSHA’ framework provides an actionable vision for the next decade.

The Archaeological Survey of India has notified Gollala Gudi Temple at Palampet in the Mulugu district of Telangana as a monument of national importance. The Ministry of culture said that the temple is situated near the UNESCO listed Ramappa Temple and is renowned for its exquisite carvings and architectural heritage.The temple is a Trikutalaya and consists of a mandapa facing East and surrounded by three garbhagriha.

A monument of national importance in the country is protected under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958. The Archaeological Survey of India takes charge of such sites for conservation, maintenance, and regulated public access.
