🇮🇳INDIA calls for urgent reforms in UN Security Council

The present UNSC structure was created in the aftermath of World War II. However, the international system has changed dramatically since 1945.

The UN originally had 51 members in 1945, while today it has 193 members. India argues that a Council designed around the geopolitical realities of the 1940s cannot adequately represent today's world.

The five permanent members are: China, France, Russia, UK and USA.

India wants:

Permanent membership of the UN Security Council with greater representation for developing countries and the Global South.

One special advice to all IB SA selected candidates : DO NOT JOIN ANY GROUP CLAIMING TO HAVE SELECTED STUDENTS ONLY. I cannot think the need behind this. Enjoy the remaining days ~2-3 months and utilize these days effectively for ACIO 2026. It's not SSC or other exams where you're free to glamorize your success.

Use some reasoning. They have asked you for not claiming your success over social media , then why are you joining any group claiming selected students ? Doesn't it mean that you are saying I am selected ?

My friend do not be emotional, be pragmatic. Focus on celebration or prepare for ACIO or other exams. Don't push yourself into any danger.
