We've received many messages from our students regarding normalisation in interview. They have also shared some youtube videos that talks about normalisation. Let us clear your doubts ;
Normalisation in T1 happened when the question paper was available along with the average marks of students - shift wise & subject wise. Tier 2 happened in a single shift so there's no question of normalisation here. Now let's come to the interview part - Firstly you must have observed that students were called for interview district wise... Being a deserving ACIO officer you must understand the logic behind it. They want to have regional balance in the workforce. To do this they may opt Scaling. Scaling is not new - UPSC also does scaling in optional subjects. The only difference is that UPSC does it to maintain the balanced ratio among the optional subjects and IB will do to balance the selection of candidates SIBs wise or district wise.
