Lesson #6: Risk Management & Position Sizing ⚠️📚

The #1 rule in trading: Protect your capital!

Key principles:

1. Never risk more than 1-2% of your portfolio per trade
2. Always use Stop-Loss orders
3. Diversify – Don't put all eggs in one basket
4. Calculate position size:
• Example: $10,000 portfolio → Risk 1% ($100) → Set stop-loss accordingly

Emotional control:
• Stick to your plan
• Avoid revenge trading

Good risk management turns losing traders into winners over time.

Lesson #7: Trading Psychology 🧠📚

80% of trading success is psychology – not strategy!

Common enemies:
• Fear – Selling too early or avoiding entries
• Greed – Holding too long or over-leveraging
• FOMO – Jumping in late on pumps
• Revenge trading – Trying to "win back" losses

How to master it:
1. Follow your plan strictly
2. Keep a trading journal (note emotions & mistakes)
3. Take breaks after losses
4. Practice patience – Wait for your setup

Discipline beats motivation every time.

Lesson #8: Technical Analysis Basics 📊📚

Technical Analysis (TA) studies price charts & patterns to predict future moves.

Key concepts for beginners:

1. Candlestick Charts
• Each candle shows Open, High, Low, Close
• Green = Bullish, Red = Bearish

2. Support & Resistance
• Support: Price level where buying interest stops falls
• Resistance: Price level where selling pressure stops rises

3. Trend Lines
• Uptrend: Higher highs & higher lows
• Downtrend: Lower highs & lower lows

4. Basic Patterns
• Head & Shoulders (reversal)
• Double Top/Bottom
• Flags & Triangles (continuation)

5. Popular Indicators
• Moving Averages (trend direction)
• RSI (overbought >70, oversold <30)
• MACD (momentum changes)

Practice on TradingView – start with BTC chart!

Lesson #9: Fundamental Analysis (FA) 🌐📚

Fundamental Analysis evaluates the real value of a project – beyond just price charts.

Key elements for beginners:

1. Project Fundamentals
• Team: Experienced & doxxed?
• Technology: Innovative & scalable?
• Use Case: Solves a real problem?

2. Tokenomics
• Supply: Total/max/circulating
• Distribution: Fair or centralized?
• Utility: Staking, governance, burning?

3. Community & Adoption
• Active users, partnerships, roadmap progress

4. News & Events
• Regulatory updates, halvings, mainnet launches

FA is great for long-term investing (e.g., finding 10x gems early).

Best traders combine FA + TA!

Lesson #10: On-Chain Metrics & Tools 🔍📚

On-chain metrics show real blockchain activity – better than just price!

Key metrics for beginners:

1. Active Addresses
• Growing = Healthy network adoption

2. Transaction Volume & Count
• High activity = Real usage, not hype

3. Hash Rate (for PoW coins like BTC)
• Higher = More secure network

4. Holder Distribution
• Avoid heavy whale concentration

5. NVT Ratio (Network Value to Transactions)
• Like P/E ratio for crypto – over/undervalued?

Free tools to check:
• Glassnode (advanced charts)
• Dune Analytics (community dashboards)
• CryptoQuant
• LookIntoBitcoin (simple BTC metrics)

Combine with FA for stronger decisions!

Lesson #10: DeFi Basics 💠📚

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is the future of finance without banks!

What is DeFi?
- Uses blockchain to recreate traditional finance (lending, borrowing, trading, yield farming)
- No intermediaries – everything is smart contracts
- Open to anyone with a wallet

Popular DeFi Protocols:
- Aave: Lending & borrowing
- Uniswap: Decentralized exchange
- Compound: Earn interest on crypto
- Curve: Stablecoin swaps

Rewards: High yields, passive income
Risks: Smart contract bugs, impermanent loss, high volatility

Start small & learn!

Lesson #11: NFTs Explained 🖼️📚

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are unique digital assets on the blockchain.

What makes them special?
• Unique & Indivisible – Unlike BTC (fungible), each NFT is one-of-a-kind
• Ownership Proof – Stored on blockchain (mostly Ethereum)
• Verifiable & Scarce

Popular Use Cases:
• Digital Art (Beeple sold one for $69M!)
• Collectibles (CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club)
• Gaming (Axie Infinity items)
• Music, Tickets, Virtual Land

Pros: Creators earn royalties, true ownership
Cons: High gas fees, environmental concerns, market volatility

NFTs are more than jpegs – they're digital property rights!

Lesson #12: Common Crypto Scams & How to Avoid Them ⚠️📚

Crypto is full of opportunities – but also scammers!

Common scams:
• Phishing (fake websites/wallets asking for keys)
• Rug Pulls (project devs disappear with funds)
• Pump & Dump groups
• Fake giveaways ("Send 1 BTC, get 2 back")
• Impersonators on social media

Red flags:
• Promises of guaranteed profits
• Urgency ("Act now or miss out!")
• Requests for private keys/seed phrase
• Unsolicited DMs/offers

Safety tips:
• Never share private keys or seed
• Use hardware wallet for large amounts
• Verify URLs & contracts
• DYOR (Do Your Own Research)

Stay safe – one mistake can cost everything!
