@everyone, the community has decided on the name for the Hard Fork from GhostDAG to DAGKnight. The name) of the Hard Fork will be Zenith and the Hard Fork will be kept 20.6.2026.

The Hard Fork will bring plethora of features like P2PKH, P2SH and adjustable block deletion depth and many more smaller things.

I'm currently investigating the DAGKnight pruning point proof level 0 header amount increase and fiddling with dagknight, but I'll try to get the issue resolved 2 weeks before the Hard Fork or we either try how it goes with the current code on mainnet and fall back to GhostDAG if the pruning point proof level 0 header amount issue can not be found.

On that note, please @everyone running testnet node, please restart with git pull, rebuild and --reset-db.

🦉HTND 2.0 Zenith Hard Fork release. 🦉

We will have Zenith Hard Fork on DAA Score 192,792,190. It will move Hoosat mainnet from GhostDAG to DAGknight and this is frontier that no-one has ever done yet. Thank you Yonatan Sompolinsky for awesome research on consensus mechanisms.

Most of the updates in the code does not require the Hard Fork to function and some changes might crash 1.7.0 nodes, so please wait until every node in the network has been updated or until the Hard Fork for messing with the mainnet.

Remember that Hard Forks always may have unknown issues, as we don't have as huge testnet as the mainnet. But from the experiences with the previous Hard Forks I'm thinking this Hard Fork will move much smoother than ever before.

We filed the European Patent Application for Securing Proof of Work Integrity on January 1, 2025 and publicly announced it at the time. While the announcement was made with full transparency, it unfortunately triggered some false statements and skepticism about the project. In hindsight, staying quieter might have avoided some noise, but as the lead developer, I believe in keeping the community informed.

After the standard 18-month waiting period, the European Patent Office has now officially published the application in its latest Bulletin https://www.epo.org/bulletin/downloads/2026/bulletin2627.pdf. This information will soon appear in EPO’s searchable databases and Espacenet as well.
