A: The Narrator here is Nelly.
Heathcliff says this to Nelly. He is talking about Catherine. Heathcliff thinks Catherine is much better than everyone else. This shows how strong Heathcliff’s feelings are for Catherine. These feelings cause many problems and big events in the story.

A: The Narrator here is Mr. Lockwood.
Heathcliff says this to Lockwood. this is the 2nd time that Heathcliff accuses Mr. Lockwood of being a theif. Heathcliff is telling his deep mistrust of strangers and his strong desire to control who enters Wuthering Heights. He refuses to let anyone have free access to the place while he is off guard. It is highlights Heathcliff's careful and guarded nature, a result of his restless past and harsh life. It also confirm the isolation and stress that describe life at Wuthering Heights. Heathcliff's need to control and protect his home reflects his larger desire to cover himself from another hurt and betrayal.


الراوي هنا هو السيد لوكوود.
