The capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) is on the verge of extinction in Scotland. There are said to be fewer than 60 males left in national forests. Loss of woodland, fencing and predation are the main threats.
The Gaelic name for them, capall-coille, means ‘horse of the forest’.

Activists from the West Midlands cleaned up graffiti in Warwick that had been blighting a local park.
Protecting and preserving our towns and our countryside so that we can not only maintain them but leave them in better condition than when we found them is a great foundation for building a better country for our people.
With small steps in a positive direction, we can make a big difference to our environment. Looking after your local area and doing one’s part to make one’s town a better place should be a priority for every nationalist.
Why not take the initiative, grab a litter picker or some scrubbing brushes and help to make a difference in your community?
