PEDOPHILE PRIESTS France - At least 10,000 CHILDREN abused since 1950 (Report)
A progress report by the French Independent Commission on Sexual Abuse in the Church (CIASE) - claims there have been AT LEAST 10,000 child victims of SEXUAL ABUSE from priests in France since 1950.
The shocking figure was reached after evidence was taken from archives of dioceses and 6,500 testimonies. The final report is due in October and should include recommendations, most notably compensation for victims.
The Conference of Bishops of France will aim to decide on financial compensation for victims at its next meeting later this month. The church attempting to move as quickly as possible, without waiting for the report to conclude.
