Since stressing about the numerous false-positive and negative reports for the coronavirus in recent days, the Tesla CEO also said he is now feeling 'okay.'

The CEO recently collaborated with the German biopharmaceutical firm CureVac to acquire a SARS-CoV2 virus immunization shot to be worked on in the Berlin Gigafactory under development. CureVac will use the equipment, technologies and services of Tesla to easily monitor the work of developing a COVID-19 vaccine dependent on mRNA.

CureVac scores $85M loan to scale COVID-19 shot manufacturing at German site

German vaccine maker CureVac recently raised eyebrows for its reported work with electric car maker Tesla to produce mobile mRNA printers to help scale production of a COVID-19 shot. Now, the company has notched a substantial loan from the EU that will help it scale its vaccine manufacturing capacity.

CureVac has scored a nearly $85 million loan from the EU to expand manufacturing at its Tübingen, Germany, facility for its mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine, the company said Monday.

CureVac will use the European Investment Bank-financed loan to expand its existing mRNA production suites as well as build a fourth facility at the Tübingen site. The loan will come in three $28.3 million tranches paid "upon completion of pre-defined milestones," CureVac said.

One of a growing group of drugmakers in the race for a COVID-19 shot, CureVac recently captured global attention for its reported work with Tesla to produce mobile mRNA vaccine "printers" and a major investment from the German government.

Health officials gain guardianship of baby whose parents refused ‘vaccinated blood’ transfusion

A New Zealand high court judge has ruled in favour of health authorities who sought guardianship of a baby boy after his parents refused to consent to a transfusion of “vaccinated blood” in a life-saving operation.

The six-month-old known as Baby W will not survive without urgent surgery for a congenital heart defect. His parents said they were unwilling to proceed unless they were given a guarantee he would only receive blood from unvaccinated donors.

Nearly two dozen hand sanitizer brands have been recalled or banned in the US after they were found to contain a cancer-causing chemical.

• Thousands of bottles of hand sanitizers made in China, South Korea and US were recalled after contamination

• Gels and sprays found to contain dangerous levels of benzene, a carcinogen at top of Government danger list

• Recalls were for specific batches of products, with many ending up back on shelves after issue was addressed

• Benzene has previously been linked to cancer and other blood disorders - though no reports of injury yet

A study published in Chemosphere adds to the growing body of research demonstrating that the endocrine-disrupting effects of glyphosate play in breast cancer development.

Exposure to the herbicide glyphosate and other glyphosate-based herbicides (GBHs) at high concentrations mimics the estrogen-like cellular effects of 17β-estradiol (E2), altering binding activity to estrogen receptor α (ERα) sites, thus causing fundamental changes in breast cancer cell proliferation (abundance).

Glyphosate is the most commonly used active ingredient worldwide, appearing in many herbicide formulas, not just Bayer’s (formerly Monsanto) Roundup.

The use of this chemical has been increasing since the inception of crops genetically modified to tolerate glyphosate over two decades ago.

The toxic herbicide readily contaminates the ecosystem with residues pervasive in food and water commodities.

Full 'cold moon' shines bright and eclipses Mars in a rare event

December’s full moon, also known as the “cold moon,” will shine bright in the night sky this Wednesday, peaking at 11:08 p.m. ET.

Jupiter, Saturn and Mars will also be visible in the night sky Wednesday, with an extraordinarily rare phenomenon, known as a lunar occultation of Mars, set to happen around the moon’s peak fullness, according to EarthSky.

At this point, the red planet will disappear behind the moon for a short period of time. This highly unusual event will be visible in parts of the Americas, Europe and Northern Africa.
