Florida residents plead guilty to conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property

Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander admitted to participating in a conspiracy in which Ashley Biden’s diary ended up in the hands of the conservative group Project Veritas near the end of the 2020 campaign.

Aimee Harris, 40, and Robert Kurlander, 58, admitted they took part in a conspiracy to transport stolen materials from Florida, where Ms. Biden had been living, to New York, where Project Veritas has its headquarters.

“Harris and Kurlander stole personal property from an immediate family member of a candidate for national political office,” Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said in a statement.

Steven Hoffenberg, the disgraced businessman and longtime mentor of Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead Tuesday when Connecticut police discovered his rotting corpse during a wellness check, the Post has learned.

Authorities discovered Hoffenberg, who spent 18 years in prison for running a half a billion dollar Ponzi scheme, lying dead on his floor around 8 p.m. Tuesday. It is not clear exactly when he died.

Police had been called to the 77-year-old’s home in Darby, CT at the request of a friend.
