❗️China declares “INDEPENDENT” stance on Ukraine conflict

Foreign Ministry spox Zhao Lijian has said Beijing maintains an “independent” position on the developing Ukraine situation.

His comments came in response to US State Sec. Anthony Blinken’s warning that Washington would “impose costs” on China if Beijing declared support for Moscow.
