The mammoth donation is fueling investment in Democratic political groups and races from Senate to secretary of state around the country.
Billionaire mega-donor George Soros is seeding a super PAC with $125 million, an enormous investment that will aid Democratic groups and candidates for the 2022 election cycle and beyond.
The group, Democracy PAC, has served as Soros' campaign spending vehicle since 2019, channeling more than $80 million to other Democratic groups and candidates during the 2020 election cycle. The new, nine-figure investment from Soros is aimed at supporting pro-democracy "causes and candidates, regardless of political party" who are invested in "strengthening the infrastructure of American democracy: voting rights and civic participation, civil rights and liberties, and the rule of law," Soros said in a statement shared first with POLITICO.

Israel is overrun with Covid. The vaccines have failed. The experiment must stop.
Israel has always been the most important country to judge the mRNA Covid vaccines.
Why?
It has nearly total adult vaccine coverage. Efforts to blame "the unvaccinated” for whatever is happening won’t hold. Israel has good data - far more complete and up-to-date than American figures. And it vaccinates quickly, so whatever impact the vaccines are having rolls through the population (and the data) quickly.
But most of all, Israel matters because Israel was first. It mass vaccinated with Pfizer’s mRNA first and it boosted first. And human biology is the same everywhere.
So what happens in Israel happens in all the other mRNA countries eventually. As the chief scientific officer of Pfizer said in September, Israel is a “sort of laboratory” for the vaccines.

The Covid-19 pandemic measures were a milestone in how modern Western societies restricted freedoms in the face of a new pathogen. It’s fair to say that we panicked in those fateful spring months of 2020. Ever since, the heated conversations, angered populations, lost friendships, and moralistic battles have split societies down the middle.
Back then politicians, partly influenced by poor epidemiological modeling, opted for a set of policies we’ve gotten used to call “lockdowns.” They usually involved various degrees of mandating the closure of public places, that schoolchildren be sent home from school, that employers vacate their premises such that employees wouldn’t physically interact, or strict government edicts that you mustn’t leave your home.
