These infamous words, speak of the everyman’s slavery to the template life. Where we are free to choose, only what the system wants us to choose.

Day in and day out, the average white collar worker puts on a suit and tie and heads to work. Adhering to the humdrum of modern day life, like a cog in a machine, he lives the motions, as he’s been told.

In the pursuit of bigger bonuses, they lie of lower interest rates, bigger returns, and how there’s never a better time than now.

His years of education have earned him the right to speak, but not the liberty to do so freely. He may be in a suit and tie, but as with every paper-pushing, business minded individual interested in his own tangible gains, he walks amongst thieves, whether he’s aware of it or not.

Even if we deviate from the status quo, we find ourselves subjugated by the majority who form it. Blinded by the negative perceptions of society, you see a rebel who doesn’t appreciates her body. Someone who is immediately categorized to be dangerous and deserving of punishment by law simply because of the way she looks. She sees the beauty behind the art, and a memory that no one can take away.

Everywhere we go, the world tells us what to do, how to be, where to study, where to work, or who to love. But sometimes, even we listened to everyone and do just as we’re told; we end up pleasing no one, least of all, ourselves. While, an inter-racial couple struggles to be free from expectations, freedom holds a different meaning for everyone.

What is freedom to you?

Our nation stands at the crossroads of history and we face a very serious decision point in the life of our nation, The United States of America. If We The People don’t step up and place demands on ALL elected officials to discover the truth of this last election (3 NOV, 2020), we may never have another free and fair election for any elected office again. This is not a political party issue, this is an American issue. Free and fair elections represent the essence of democracy and many thousands of Americans have fought and died for us all to be free and able to vote as equals...one person, one vote. All of us in living legally in the United States of America are created equal in the eyes of God 🙏🏻🇺🇸
