Social media BLACKOUT in Pakistan after radical Islamist group’s fatal anti-French riots
Pakistan’s Interior Ministry “completely” cut off access to Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and Telegram for hours after days of riots left FOUR police DEAD and nearly 600 wounded.
Radical Islamist party Tehreek-e-Labbaik organised violent rallies, fueled partly by Emmanuel Macron’s support for satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo’s right to publish an apparently blasphemous cartoon of the prophet Mohammed.
Tehreek-e-Labbaik have been BANNED under Pakistan’s terrorism act and their leader has been arrested.
