Cosmic accidents
In order to create life, our planet must have been relatively stable for hundreds of millions of years. But a world that is stable for hundreds of millions of years is astonishingly difficult to make. Start with the way atoms are made, with the fact that a proton weighs slightly less than a neutron. This means that neutrons eventually decay into protons, which occupy a lower energy state. If the proton were just 1 percent heavier, it would decay into a neutron, and all nuclei would become unstable and disintegrate. Atoms would fly apart, making life impossible.

It is unreasonable to think all of this came to existence out of nowhere.

Its fascinating and a bit humbling to see that even something as seemingly limitless as computing power is ultimately bound by the laws of physics. Just like mass, length, temperature, or energy, there are hard physical limits that nothing can surpass. Mooreโs Law gave us decades of exponential growth in transistor density, but clock speeds hit a wall because nature sets boundaries we canโt ignore. Its a vivid reminder that no matter how clever or ambitious we are, the universe always has ceilings, limits that shape whats possible and force us to innovate in new ways, like parallelism and energy efficient architectures. Truly amazing how everything, even human made technology, bows to the laws of physics.
Could physical limits, at some point stop us from scientific and technological advancement or will they be our reasons to push harder and be a little more creative as we go?
