IELTS matnlari bilan ishlash tartibi

Biz matnlar bilan ishlashning quyidagi tartibini taklif etamiz.
Bizning fikrimizga ko’ra, imtihon topshiruvchilar matn bilan ishlash jarayonida birinchi navbatda quyidagilarni amalga oshirishlari kerak:
- Quyidagi xossalarga ko’ra matn tahlilini amalga oshirish:
- Sarlavha, quyi sarlavha;
- Ko’rgazmali ma’lumotlar (rasmlar, fotosuratlar, xaritalar, chizmalar va diagrammalar);
- Atoqli otlar;
- Geografik joy nomlari;
- Sanalar;
- Son va raqamlar;
- Pul birliklari va miqdorlari.

Bunda tahlil 2 – 3 daqiqagacha vaqt oladi, ammo matn haqida umumiy tasavvurning paydo bo’lishi uchun yetarli hisoblanadi. Eng ko’p hollarda ikki turdagi matnlar uchraydi:
1 – ma’lum bir mavzuning nazariyasi va yoki tarixini tasvirlovchi matnlar,
2 – biror narsa yoki jarayonni tasvirlovchi matnlar.
Ba’zan bu ikki turga bir xilda ta’luqli bo’lgan, aralash mazmundagi matnlar ham uchraydi.
Masalan, biror matnda atoqli otlar, tarixiy joy nomlari va tarixiy sanalar ko’p uchrasa, tahmin qilish mumkinki, matn qaysidir mavzuning tarixiga aloqador. Bu turdagi mantlarga β€œA Spark, a Flint: How Fire Leapt to Life”, β€œZoo Conservation Programmes”, β€œArchitecture – Reaching for the Sky”, β€œRight and Left Handedness in Humans” kabi matnlarni misol qilib keltirish mumkin.
Ikkinchi turdagi matnlarda, ko’pincha, bir xil turdagi so’z yoki ibora qayta-qayta ishlatiladi. Ularda raqamlar va miqdorlar ham tasvirlangan bo’lishi mumkin. Bunday turdagi matnlarga esa β€œMigratory Beekeeping”, β€œTourism”, β€œSpoken Corpus Comes to Life”, β€œMoles Go Happy as Homes Go Underground”, β€œA Wordaholic Economy” kabi matnlarni misol keltirish mumkin.
Matn haqida ilk, umumiy tushunchaga ega bo’lgandan so’ng esa topshiriqlarni bajarishga o’tish kerak. Topshiriqlar soni 38 tadan 42 tagacha, o’rtacha 40 ta bo’ladi. Iqtisodiy yo’nalishdagi oliygohga qabul qilinuvchilardan talab etiladigan 6 ballni yig’ish uchun kamida 25 ta topshiriqni to’g’ri bajarish kerak bo’ladi.

5 Formal Idioms for IELTS Writing Task 2

Today we’ll discuss formal idioms for IELTS Writing Task 2 to increase your vocabulary score!

Usually, idioms are considered informal, and, thus, are not appropriate to use in our Academic Writing.

However, we also know that in order to secure a 7 or higher for Vocabulary in IELTS Writing, you must utilize β€œless common phrasesβ€œ, with an β€œawareness of style and collocationβ€œ.

Formal idioms satisfy those requirements!

5 Formal Idioms for IELTS Essays

1. A means to an end– a way of achieving a goal

Raising taxes is just a means to an end. Although citizens may initially express dissatisfaction with allocating more of their income to the government, increased revenue would mean the nation could provide healthcare for all, which leads to a happier and more productive society.

2. If you will– This phrase can be used when asking the reader to do something

Imagine, if you will, a university which guaranteed equal numbers of males and females in all classes.

3. Ill-gotten gains– money/profits which were obtained unfairly, or, even, illegally

I would posit that the profits made by institutions from international students are ill-gotten gains. Foreign pupils should not be asked to pay a higher sum than local individuals.

4. In droves – a large amount gathering very quickly, usually describing people

Every time Apple releases a new device, consumers purchase it in droves.

5. Since time immemorial – something has been happening for an extremely long time

Since time immemorial, children have wished they could be more like adults. However, this wish revolves around the freedom they perceive their elders as having, not the responsibilities.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 1: Books

1️⃣ What kind of books do you like to read?

I mostly like to read biographies. I'm not sure why but it is interesting to read about people's real lives, especially when they have had interesting lives and have had to deal with many problems. I do read fiction as well, but I often find it difficult to get hold of a book that I really like. I also like reading about books to do with current affairs.

2️⃣ Do you read the same kind of books now that you read when you were a child?

Not really, no. Actually I didn't read that much when I was a child, but if I did it was mainly fiction books, such as fairy tales. Things like The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Fantasy things.

3️⃣ When do you think is the best time to read?

I think any time is ok, but when I read I like to concentrate, so I can't read for a short time like on a bus ride like some people do. I like to put time aside to enjoy it. So if I have some free time at the weekend I might read for a few hours. And I nearly always read before I go to bed - this really helps me to sleep.

πŸ’  USEFUL LANGUAGE:

πŸ”Έdeal with (ph v) - take action
πŸ”Έfiction (n) - the type of book or story which is written about imaginary characters and events and not based on real people and facts
πŸ”Έcurrent affairs (n) - political news about events happening now

A Friendly Reminder 🀝

Try to speak at least more than the examiner. If you are asked a question using one sentence, respond with two or more. Never give short, uncommunicative replies and never use fillers. Typically, you will be asked about everyday topics, such as work, studies, sport, family and so on. So you should try answering IELTS Speaking questions before the exam. You will be surprised how simple they are! You just need to learn appropriate vocabulary and understand what answers you will give πŸ€“

Record your answers in order to check your pronunciation and work on it, if you made pronuncing errors πŸ˜‰

My posts are so helpful in preparing for the official IELTS test. I believe you guys aslo will take incredibly high score from IELTS! By the way, I always try to send really useful posts to my channel! If you like them, then share them☒️
