🏡5 Tricks to Boost your IELTS Reading Speed 🏡

πŸ”†1. QUESTIONS FIRST
Some people like to read the questions first and then read the texts. Many IELTS students swear that it works well for them. To make the best of it, you should read the questions and underline any key words, and then read the text quickly until you find those words (or their synonyms).

πŸ”†2. TEXT FIRST
The opposite way is to read the passage first and then tackle the questions. Many students prefer the first method because it saves time. However, We’ve personally found that reading the text quickly gives you a good idea of where to find answers, and then when you read the questions you can quickly go back and double-check.

πŸ”†3. UNDERLINING
A lot of IELTS guides will tell you to underline, and that’s for a good reason. Underlining a word will help you find it again quickly when you need to. Even a native speaker can read a text and then later struggle to find an important detail – especially when under pressure! If you underline the words you need to remember, it can save valuable time.

πŸ”†4. SKIMMING AND SCANNING
Everyone talks about these, and they’re not just tricks to succeed in the IELTS Reading Exam. In fact, they’re essential reading tools that can be used in more or less any reading situation. Skim through a text to get the gist of it, and then scan for what information you really need.

πŸ”†5. FIRST SENTENCES
Lots of students find that reading the first sentence of each paragraph can help them determine the main idea. This is because the first sentence is usually the topic sentence, and gives a clue to what comes later in the paragraph. Indeed, if done well, this technique can save you valuable time. However, it is easy to overlook important information.

Ewig fΓΌr heute
Wir stehen nicht still
FΓΌr eine ganze Nacht
Komm' ich trag' dich
Durch die Leute
Hab' keine Angst
Ich gebe auf dich Acht
Wir lassen uns treiben
Tauchen unter
Schwimmen mit dem Strom
Drehen unsere Kreise
Kommen nicht mehr runter
Sind schwerelos

An Tagen wie diesen
WΓΌnscht man sich Unendlichkeit
An Tagen wie diesen
Haben wir noch ewig Zeit
In dieser Nacht der NΓ€chte
Die uns so viel verspricht
Erleben wir das Beste
Kein Ende ist in Sicht

Kein Ende in Sicht
Kein Ende in Sicht
Kein Ende in Sicht

An Tagen wie diesen
WΓΌnscht man sich Unendlichkeit
An Tagen wie diesen
Haben wir noch ewig Zeit
In dieser Nacht der NΓ€chte
Die uns so viel verspricht
Erleben wir das Beste
Kein Ende ist in Sicht
Erleben wir das Beste
kein Ende in Sicht
Kein Ende in Sicht

β€žLeute ihr seid
Hoffentlich sehen wir uns irgendwann mal wieder
So wie das heute war
Das war wie gemalt
Herzlichen Dank

IELTS matnlari bilan ishlash tartibi

Biz matnlar bilan ishlashning quyidagi tartibini taklif etamiz.
Bizning fikrimizga ko’ra, imtihon topshiruvchilar matn bilan ishlash jarayonida birinchi navbatda quyidagilarni amalga oshirishlari kerak:
- Quyidagi xossalarga ko’ra matn tahlilini amalga oshirish:
- Sarlavha, quyi sarlavha;
- Ko’rgazmali ma’lumotlar (rasmlar, fotosuratlar, xaritalar, chizmalar va diagrammalar);
- Atoqli otlar;
- Geografik joy nomlari;
- Sanalar;
- Son va raqamlar;
- Pul birliklari va miqdorlari.

Bunda tahlil 2 – 3 daqiqagacha vaqt oladi, ammo matn haqida umumiy tasavvurning paydo bo’lishi uchun yetarli hisoblanadi. Eng ko’p hollarda ikki turdagi matnlar uchraydi:
1 – ma’lum bir mavzuning nazariyasi va yoki tarixini tasvirlovchi matnlar,
2 – biror narsa yoki jarayonni tasvirlovchi matnlar.
Ba’zan bu ikki turga bir xilda ta’luqli bo’lgan, aralash mazmundagi matnlar ham uchraydi.
Masalan, biror matnda atoqli otlar, tarixiy joy nomlari va tarixiy sanalar ko’p uchrasa, tahmin qilish mumkinki, matn qaysidir mavzuning tarixiga aloqador. Bu turdagi mantlarga β€œA Spark, a Flint: How Fire Leapt to Life”, β€œZoo Conservation Programmes”, β€œArchitecture – Reaching for the Sky”, β€œRight and Left Handedness in Humans” kabi matnlarni misol qilib keltirish mumkin.
Ikkinchi turdagi matnlarda, ko’pincha, bir xil turdagi so’z yoki ibora qayta-qayta ishlatiladi. Ularda raqamlar va miqdorlar ham tasvirlangan bo’lishi mumkin. Bunday turdagi matnlarga esa β€œMigratory Beekeeping”, β€œTourism”, β€œSpoken Corpus Comes to Life”, β€œMoles Go Happy as Homes Go Underground”, β€œA Wordaholic Economy” kabi matnlarni misol keltirish mumkin.
Matn haqida ilk, umumiy tushunchaga ega bo’lgandan so’ng esa topshiriqlarni bajarishga o’tish kerak. Topshiriqlar soni 38 tadan 42 tagacha, o’rtacha 40 ta bo’ladi. Iqtisodiy yo’nalishdagi oliygohga qabul qilinuvchilardan talab etiladigan 6 ballni yig’ish uchun kamida 25 ta topshiriqni to’g’ri bajarish kerak bo’ladi.
