Ingliz tilida eng ko'p ishlatiladigan so'z "get" bo'lib, uning ma'nolari va vazifalari juda ko'p. Bugun biz ulardan ba'zilarini o'rganishga harakat qildik. "Get" past simple (o'tgan zamon)da "got"ga o'zgaradi.
Get so'zining ma'nolaridan biri - olmoq, ega bo'lmoq, xarid qilish, topib olish va hokazo.
Did you get my letter last week? - O'tgan hafta mening xatimni oldingizmi?
Where did you get it? - Uni qayerdan oldingiz? (Masalan, xarid ma'nosida).

Ingliz tilidagi eng mashhur so'zlardan biri "go" hisoblanadi.
Go - "ketmoq" degani. Past simple'da "went", present perfect'da "gone".
Go - to/on/for lar bilan birga kelishi mumkin. Agar ketilayotgan joy mamlakat, shahar, qishloq, teatr kabi ma'lum nomga ega manzil bo'lsa, "go to" ishlatiladi:
I'm going to France next week - Men keyingi hafta Fransiyaga ketyapman.
Faqat "home" (uy)da to qo'shilmaydi: I'm going home now - Men hozir uyga ketyapman.
Agar manzil sayohat, dam olish, tadqiqot kabi narsalar bo'lsa, "go on" ishlatiladi.
We go on holiday every year - Biz har yili dam olishga boramiz.
Agar yurish, ovqatlanish, uchrashish kabi ma'lum bir harakatni bajarish uchun ketayotgan bo'lsa, "go for" qo'yiladi:
She has gone for a walk in the park - U istirohat bog'ida aylangani ketdi.
"Holiday" so'zida "go on holiday" yoki "go for a holiday" desa ham bo'ladi. "For" bilan ishlatilganda "a" qo'yish kerak ekan.
Swimming, shopping, fishing kabi "ing" qo'shimchasi bilan kelgan so'zlardan oldin yolg'iz "go" qo'yiladi, xolos:
