It has been extremely difficult over the last few months for Lisa as she has had many new challenges with her basic care and treatment. Still unable to secure a stable home or the funds for basic living (nevermind thousands of dollars worth of treatments), and enduring continued debilitating pain and many many other symptoms, Lisa has continued to struggle. She had to leave the clinic where was receiving treatment in Feb/March as funds were exhausted and she was just starting to notice some improvements. She needs a solid plan and a place to live not temporarily but until she is completely well and functioning on her own.
However, we have a new development! We are excited to announce that Lisa has been receiving help from Carla Atherton, Director of The Healthy Family Formula, in order to put together a solid plan for recovery that is sustainable and effective. Carla has been helping Lisa find supports and tools to help her get well as well as help her to budget the funds she has available.
Although we are still looking for a place for Lisa to recover locally, there are other options we are also considering. Lisa has done an amazing job managing her challenges on her own, but it is time that she be able to shift from survival to recovery with a good, consistent foundation of support beneath her. Lisa is trying to tough it out where she is currently staying so she can attend several appointments with the specialists that are currently scheduled in her area. But accommodations remain a challenge that we are addressing every day. Lisa will need a place to stay while she heals and then will also need a long-term solution, a home, after she is back on her feet. Carla has also offered Lisa a clean, safe place to stay in Canada until she is recovered if this is the best choice for Lisa at this time. However, if it is logistically better for Lisa to remain in her home area for the duration of her recovery, we need to find a suitable place for her to stay. We are also considering several different healing centres and in-patient clinics that specialize in the kind of care that Lisa needs. In any case, she will need funding to pay for these accommodations and care. Lisa is currently temporarily staying with friends but needs to move out soon as they are currently selling their house. Solving this problem is top priority, and funding from supporters will open up many opportunities for Lisa.
As she is still unable to work, Lisa will also need funds to purchase food, necessities, and to receive the remaining treatments that she needs which include (but are not limited to):
-extensive work with a biological dentist to address toxic dental infection and mercury exposure. We have received 2 different quotes for the work that would be involved, both topping $10,000. It is evident that Lisaβs immune system will continue to work in overdrive until these infections are taken care of, so this is a top priority. One of the dentists who can do the work is quite a distance away, therefore, she will need to travel to the clinic and stay for 3 nights with a companion in a toxin-free hotel.
-surgery to rectify a tongue-tie that could potentially be one of the root causes of her constant and debilitating head and neck pain. She has had an assessment by a tongue-tie expert, and the surgery will cost $2,000.
-possibly Regenexx therapy to address and relieve the nerve compression and stenosis that is also causing her debilitating and constant pain.
-supplements that will address remaining toxicity, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction. Although Lisa and Carla have tried to simplify the volume of supplements she will use in her recovery, they remain quite costly.
-ongoing support such as craniosacral therapy, trauma release, cold laser therapy, massage, and chiropractic care to address her dysregulated limbic system and complete her healing.
Lisa may also need to hire a care aid if funding allows.
It is apparent that we have a way to go yet until Lisa is fully recovered, so we are asking for help

from Lisaβs current and new supporters to help her continue on this journey. Healing is never easy and is often not fast, but she has every chance at recovery with the support of her friends, family, and medical team.
Regardless of what we decide to be the best course of action, Carla will be working with Lisa to plan, budget, and execute her healing plan until she is well.
Although Lisa is apprehensive and scared as any of us would be, she is also hopeful and very grateful to have this opportunity for recovery. And she will recover. We are so grateful for you, Lisaβs friends and supporters, who have been a bright light during this difficult time and for helping us to keep going. Thank you!

Lisa is close to following Chrissy. I've tried to invite her here, but she doesn't quite have the energy to join.
