First, fill out the application form. You can find the form HERE.

Then sign, scan, and send the form to finaid@ammes.org. Remember to scan the file as a document, not a JPG. We need to write on it. Don’t take photos of your documents, we can’t read them.

Next send the following to finaid@ammes.org. (Alternatively, you can mail the application via USPS. See above.)

1) Proof of financial need. This can be any ONE of the following:

The first page of your IRS income tax return (with social security number redacted), OR
Proof that you are receiving any form of government assistance, including food stamps (SNAP), disability payments through SSDI, welfare, fuel assistance, section 8 housing benefits, SSI, TANF, WIC, Medicaid or any other program for low income individuals.
2) Documentation of a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). Please send as a document, not a JPG file. Don’t take photos of your documents, we can’t read them.

3) Documentation of what you need the grant for. This can be a receipt, or a bill, or written estimate

unless the result is a large enough amount of money, we don't even have a way to do the process

because emergency means that I will lose ability digestive function before we have ability to make forms

Grants are generally in the hundreds not thousands and they don't have a lot of money atm so let's skip it then

people whose brains for understanding specific kinds of processes are disabled of those processes and cannot do the things.

I have snap, I don't know how I document that I need cannabis except that I have a medical card but that doesn't really prove anything so I don't know how I can prove something like this to them, okay let's go back to solving money problems using our own agency
