Some tasks or supports you may think would now be possible with electrical service restored are not accessible for us because of the heavy nature of what all our bodies have been through; severe physical conditions exacerbated by the strain.

Collaborators I rely on are also struggling significantly with communications because of unmet needs that compromise physical and cognitive capacities.

The outage and road blockage from the storm damage has caused a very significant income interruption for a key collaborator who had been working diligently to fund our base digital infrastructure online β€” keenly necessary for our function β€” and this collaborator cannot continue to do so in the same way as before.

We're charging up batteries and preparing as best we can for if the electric goes totally out again.

We've also moved the little bit of remaining food from the cooler to the freezer for as long as we have electric to run the freezer.

We're doing our best to begin to remedy various toxic messes that commonly accumulate during storm damage and utility outages. There's a lot.

We celebrate with love for those who regain normalcy when electric is restored after an outage (πŸ’–!) β€” and β€” we must communicate as clearly as we can that normalcy is not yet accessible for me and many others because of the compounded events that have occurred.

We've gone through the base digital infrastructure for the Intuitive Network and trimmed it down to the barest possible survival minimum.

10th–16th May: $250

These parts of our base digital infrastructure keep communication, writing, and planning tools online β€” disability aid functions that let us talk to each other, make decisions, and keep recovery work moving.

If we lose it, colleagues get cut off; coordination stalls; emergency supports break down. (I likely would not be able to post here.)

Maintaining it lets us keep working to get solutions in place... and keeps a lot of people alive. Including me.

With your help we've achieved $75 of this $250 block.

We are seeking out and welcoming in the remaining $175 to preserve this infrastructure and our function through to May 16th.

Of the essential medical foods that were lost for lack of refrigeration when the freezers defrosted during our Pittsburgh electrical outage, $500 worth has not been paid for yet.

(Find more in the link below about the necessity of specific foods to support safe digestion for me and others with complex physical conditions.)

The food source was especially kind to let us post-date a check at our last pickup, but to support the needs of that food source, that payment must go through before we can buy more.

Another $500 buys us replacement foods so that we can ensure I and our group members can be fed.

Because of the generosity of paid subscribers and readers who have made investments and donations to help us out, we've got $200 of this.

We are seeking out and welcoming in $800 more to cover the post-dated check and a new purchase to prevent us running out of food β€” as we are quickly nearing the end of what remains.

From our hearts to yours, thank you.

This is a time of huge challenges and huge blessings.

We haven't yet found the money necessary to replace the medical food that was lost during the 8-day electrical outage in Pittsburgh.

If you know someone who can help, please send them to this page: https://www.intuitivepublicradio.network/p/help-us-buy-food-and-preserve-network-infrastructure

"You have to learn the language bridging in order to even realize they're actually all around you.

And they all have war stories that need to be told so that the war can be over."

At intersections of compounded economic exclusion, we triage with the resources we have; and we often must minimize damage by remedying part of one emergency situation in a bare-minimum-viable way that intensifies a different emergency situation.

In this case, we absolutely had to replace some of the special foods I and others require for survival β€” so whatever we could replace without a larger investment, we did so.

As mentioned 2 weeks back, the small, unpredictable, and hard-won funds that severely impacted group members had previously β€” heroically β€” brought to our efforts have been significantly interrupted and compromised by recent events.

We’re reaching out now for emergency assistance keeping hot running water in this location.

We’re reaching out now for emergency assistance keeping hot running water in this location.

The gas service has notified us that shut-off, with $900 overdue, will be 25 May 2025… the day after tomorrow.

On May 25th, it will then require $1,300 (instead of $900) to reconnect.

I set the deadline in the title for tomorrow, Saturday the 24th of May, because by the time we hit Sunday morning we'll already have to pay the higher amount to get our hot running water back.

Ways to help:

Share this post and other posts we make with people and organizations who might be able to help. We ask gratefully for your assistance extending our outreach.

Monica Cassani has created such an important resource in Beyond Meds, where the website costs are coming due shortly.

We love what Will Hall wrote, absolutely on point β€” "Beyond Meds is the single most valuable source for both firsthand and research information about coming off psychiatric drugs. It’s my top referral for people looking for information on the Internet."

Monica has put a huge amount of energy into nourishing life-saving pathways for the broader community. Every bit of support for her work supports the broader community too.

If you can, please help this resource continue forward.

Find more testimonials about Monica Cassani's work here: https://beyondmeds.com/testimonial/

Here's her PayPal link, to donate directly: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/BeyondMeds/

Read her post to request support to keep the website going, and how to reach out to support her in other ways: https://beyondmeds.com/2025/08/18/site-plan-is-about-to-expire/

Thank you for amplifying this signal however possible! 🌿✨

John Poliziani writes,

' Hi yall, I'm a homeless guy looking for help. I've been dealing with this problem on and off for years. I spend a lot of time on the East End and Squirrel Hill in particular. My situation has not only not improved, but I'm now on dialysis which makes things more difficult. I'm looking for somewhere I could stay either for almost nothing, in exchange for some odd jobs, or a combination. I feel like there has to be an extremely small, simple, inexpensive room somewhere nearby. Most social service agencies have not been even slightly helpful. Shelters are generally either completely full or just not safe, and often do not do much help either (and of course, what happens after I use up the time given?). I'm a quiet guy, tend to keep to myself, I love animals (dogs in particular), and honestly I would probably rarely be around because I am not much of a homebody, so I'm a good roommate. If anyone knows anything, feel free to message me, I'd love to talk.

inb4: I want to reiterate that I am not looking for a social service agency, social worker, etc. Just an insanely cheap or free option.

Thanks to everyone in advance! '

Please read: Missing black cat, 1.5 miles north of Sugar Grove Wisconsin.

Reward if found!!

Last seen Tuesday 14 April at dusk.

Large male, well-fed, a bit skittish. His name is Jet. We are very distressed that he's missing!

There's a slim chance he could have ridden to Tomah in the engine compartment of a car that was here on Tuesday. Please watch for him or help us search for him there too.

Wisconsin friends near Viola and Tomah β€” please can you help us search and keep an eye out for leads?

He's very dear to us and we hope to know soon that he's safe.

To all β€” we are especially grateful for your prayers that this feline family member is found and returned or finds his way back to us.

Please spread the word and cross-post and bump and share this message.

Please message Johanna (t.me/JohannaBotanica) or Megan Elizabeth (t.me/MaxMorris) with info and ideas.

Thank you so much for your help.
