➡️A new trading week is beginning, so it is time to update my previous GOLD forecast. The correction extended higher than I initially expected, but the broader bearish scenario remains valid.

According to the updated wave count, intermediate wave "2" completed slightly higher, around 4168.50. The price reversed from this level and has already started moving lower.

I still expect the decline to continue through the development of intermediate wave "3". This entire structure is unfolding within the larger higher-degree wave "C".

The nearest target is the intermediate wave "1" low at 3958.62. This is a strong support area and the first logical target for the current bearish move.

Before extending lower, GOLD may revisit the 4134.90 resistance area. A direct decline toward the target from current levels is also possible.

A weaker U.S. dollar and lower Treasury yields are currently supporting gold, so the short-term fundamental backdrop does not fully confirm the bearish technical setup. Traders are also waiting for this week’s Federal Reserve decision, which may bring additional volatility.
