When I first joined university, my goal was to become a lecturer and researcher.
But over time, I realized there are many ways to achieve what you want in life.
Today, after three months of training, our coding students at Indiana School are showcasing their projects during the Parents’ Day event.
This initiative started as a test in partnership with the School of Indiana,
aiming to offer web development training during students’ free time.
To make the program accessible, we built our own LMS platform, allowing students to access learning resources, attend in-person sessions, and track their progress on GitHub.
The Helder Technologies team of developers and designers worked closely to ensure the training was effective.
Special thanks to Haile, Lewana Taye, and Tokuma, who contributed their time and skills to support the training alongside their regular work.
The Results:
Students has get a fundamental understanding of
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and version control with Git.
- Front-end frameworks like ReactJS.
- CSS frameworks Tailwind CSS
- Working with APIs
we organized students into teams of 6–9 to manage different roles—
UI design, front-end development, backend, and presentation.
This structure helped collaboration and made the sessions more interactive.
One of the achievements was developing a real website for Tinsae Holistic School,
which even included client communication handled by the students.
They also created a sample web store for cultural dress sales
and a simple marketplace as practice projects.
Throughout this journey, the energy, passion, and dedication shown
by the students at Indiana School have been truly inspiring.
We deeply appreciate the support of the school owners and administrators who made this collaboration possible.
Looking ahead, we launch a 70-hour Full Stack Web Development training this summer, in partnership with the School of Indiana. The program is open to high school students from grades 9 to 12 and will take place at the Indiana School campus in Alem Bank, Akaki. With the parents already registering their children at the parenting event’, there is a few sets for registration. Register @ashenafibelete

The project lifecycle guides software teams from idea to completion. It keeps scope, cost, and schedule clear and manageable.
How to Apply It:
1. Initiating
Approve the software idea and assign a lead.
Example: Approve E-learning platform.
Tools: Google Docs, Notion.

Define project scope, schedule, and resources.
Example: Plan 4 sprints and assign developer tasks.
Tools: Jira, Trello, ClickUp.
3. Executing
