The only scene from “Deadwood” that I remember clearly was the feeding a corpse to a pig. Because it was so repulsive. Why is this on my mind? Why am I laughing while my stomach churns? David looks a little piqued from those hot dogs he ate last night, ick, but that’s not it. It is on my mind, with Bach cello concertos in the background, because Nord Davis 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽 writes of biblical reasons not to eat pork (or shellfish) because it burns too fast ... and because there was that quick almost inaudible comment by David Crowe (The Infectious Myth) in a lecture saying that ‘poxes’ of the skin would outbreak in poorer communities who consumed lots of pork. Then there’s that video of Pepsi on a pork cutlet ... It’s the swine, I tell ya! Swine of all kinds.
