Forwarded from Dr. Tom Cowan Official
I wanted to share this beautiful drawing from Myra that was shared with our team. Here's what Myra said: "I have recently read Dr. Cowanโs book, 'Human Heart Cosmic Heart' and have watched several interviews online. I was very impressed with Dr. Cowanโs scientific, spiritual, and original approach to this complex subject."
"Last year, my husband underwent a cardiac procedure similar to the one which Dr. Cowan describes in the book. My husband is an artist and this is a self-portrait which he drew after undergoing the procedure, expressing his relationship with his heart titled 'Heart Hearth Home.'"
Thank you again for sharing, Myra!

THE IRONY APPEARS LOST ON THE AUTHOR AND ROBERT MALONE. This paper about bucking the mainstream narrative draws a parallel between an outbreak of disease caused by a contaminated water pump in London in the mid 1800s and the flu of 2019 (aka, COVID).
Today, believers in the (unproven) virus theory are the same as the believers in a miasma theory in London in days of old. It is people like Cowan, Kaufman, the Baileys, Donio, Stone, Lanka who are like Snow, because they challenge a mainstream and unfounded (unscientific) belief that COVID is caused by SARS COV2.
๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
โThe arguments deployed against Snow โ that he bucked scientific โconsensus,โ that his water-borne transmission theory contradicted a posited miasmic origin where causality was seen as a self-evident effect of widely observed odors, and that he threatened to undermine the implementation of the Health Boardโs competing solutions to cholera โ reveal striking parallels to the global Covid-19 pandemic response of some 170 years later.โ

IONS, MINERALS, CATALYTIC ENZYMES (GENES) & TERRAIN HEALTH
The RBTI method (see posts above) assesses basic energy inputs and outputs, metabolic rates, liver and kidney/adrenal function. RBTI, combined with analysis of catalytic enzymes (genes, like SOD), gets to the fundamentals of health: bio-energy, ions, minerals, salts, sugars and proteins unique to the person.

Catalytic proteins:
โCatalytic proteins are enzymes that control the rate of all biochemical reactions in the body. Digestive enzymes break down the food we eat into usable elements. Antioxidant enzymes protect our cells from oxidation and free radical damage. Other enzymes are involved in various metabolic processes. The activity of enzymes is facilitated by various vitamins and minerals which act as co-factors and are classified as coenzymes. For example, the mineral magnesium participates in nearly 80% of enzyme mediated reactions in the body. Therefore magnesium deficiency can produce widespread symptoms of malfunction. The B complex of vitamins are converted to numerous coenzymes that facilitate specific enzyme activities. Deficiency of one or more of the B Vitamins will adversely affect the function of enzymes and therefore the facilitation of various biochemical reactions. โ

A WHOLE-BODY NUTRIENT TO SUPPORT CATALYTIC ENZYMES: BARLEYLIFE
I was never a fan of nutritional powders until I worked with a functional nutritionist in Georgia who trained under Carey Reams, the creator of the RBTI test. She suggested I supplement with BarleyLife which provides the catalytic enzymes, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) two of the more important detox enzymes you may have never heard of. My specific problem has been inverse pH, where urine is more alkaline than saliva. BarleyLife is one way to flip that around.

AGING ISNT A DISEASE (and you can't supplement yourself to youth)
It is Men's Health Month which may be why I am getting asked about longevity supplements by several men of a certain age. One of these men takes high blood pressure meds, anti-histamines every night, and get-it-up drugs (as needed ...). He has dropped the statins, a self-directed decision about which his primary care, prescribing, physician shrugged. His friends, he texts this week, swear by a lipid supplement (a precursor of phosphatidylcholine or PC) called citicoline. What do you think, he asks. My first thought is this: remarkable benefits from a lipid can be a sign of dietary deficiencies of healthy fats, so get right on your diet. My second thought is, are your friends taking blood drugs that disrupt lipids which are needed to clear toxins, make hormones (!). My third thought is, do your friends have variants in the PEMT enzyme (gene) that makes PC and FADS (fatty acid desaturase), sirtuin genes. And then I wonder about disruption of glucose and toxins from flu shots like aluminum, and lymphatic drainage especially from the brain during sleep, inflammation (microglia) of the brain, and vagal (nervous system) tone ... all of which effect brain chemistry and function.
If anyone wants a simple answer from me, they will not get it. And I can't respond in a text, except to say, you can't pill pop your way to vitality, and you may be giving your body the wrong signals, the immediate effects of the chemical may soon wear off because you haven't addressed the underlying causes of memory loss.
I have been interested in PC for a few years now, not for "aging" but for neuro health, specifically ALS. And I went around, through, and over the barn talking with manufacturers and prescribers of different forms of PC for IV.
And, still, I come back to diet, toxins (drugs), and variants in lipid and detox-related enzymes (genes).
All of that said, I recently heard the chemist at QuicksilverScientific in Colorado describe their PC/longevity product. I wanted to order it straight away ... even I am not immune to elixirs that promise longevity.
Note, I don't sell or benefit from these products!

NAD+ & YOUR GENOMICS
An analysis of your functional enzymes (genes, catalizing proteins) will inform which tyoe of B3 (NAD, NMN, NR) is better for you. You need methyl groups to use B3. Variants in the enzymes (genes) that make methyl groups (such as MTHFR, MTR/R) will influence your metabolism of different forms of B3. The functional genomic analysis will also look at other forms of "B3" (NADP, NADPH and associated enzymes like NADPH oxidase - NOX which is at the heart of mast cell/histamine associated inflammation)

LONGEVITY, AGING & SINCLAIR'S LIFESPAN PROTOCOL (what you need to know ... NAD+ metabolism necessitates methylation support)
This quote is from Quicksilver posted link above. ๐๐๐๐
A functional genomic analysis will show you -- in graphics -- how well your enzymes can metabolize NMN. Like I keep.posting, know your DNA (and your pee).
"The most direct way to support NAD+ levels is to supplement the body with nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), a direct and stable precursor to NAD+. NMN is derived from vitamin B3, or nicotinamide.
Direct supplementation with NAD+ is ineffective for increasing systemic NAD+ levels due to the moleculeโs propensity to break down in the gut. By comparison, NMN has a unique cellular transporter, Slc12a8, that facilitates direct uptake into cells. Once inside the cell, NMN is rapidly transformed into NAD+, repleting the bodyโs NAD+ pool. (8) Nicotinamide riboside (NR) is another NAD+ precursor popular in the longevity space; however, it must go through an additional metabolic step that converts it into NMN before entering cells.
NAD+ Metabolism Necessitates Methylation Support
Methylation is a biochemical process in which methyl (-CH3) groups are added to molecules within the body, impacting processes such as NAD+ metabolism.
Methylation keeps the NAD+ cycle running smoothly by removing excess NAM, an intermediate in the โSalvage Pathway,โ a biochemical pathway that recycles NAD+.
When NAD+ levels increase in the body due to supplementation with NAD+ precursors such as NMN, excess NAM builds up and can inhibit the bodyโs ability to continue generating NAD+.
Trimethylglycine, riboflavin, and vitamin B12 are nutrients that provide methyl groups to methylate NAM, allowing it to be excreted. Simultaneous supplementation of methylation nutrients alongside NMN may thus optimize NAD+ bioenergetics, allowing you to experience the full potential of NMN supplementation."

HUMANS ARE COMPLICATED.
I met Dr Chris Shade in 2018 and asked if he knew about NutriGeneticsResearch and he replied, "it is too complicated." But here we are, in 2022, and Quicksilver is presenting alongside NGRI, speaking to the interaction of catalyzing enzymes (genes) and supplements.
๐๐๐๐ The rub with taking TMG, B12, riboflavin to assist methylation to assist B3 metabolism is that it revs up the detoxification processes. If you have a lot of inflammation (oxidative stress, oxalates, iron stuck in the cell, excess glutamate and so on) and poor detox via the major pathways (CYP, glutathione, sulfation, etc) you can make yourself feel worse by taking methyl-supporting folate and B12.
Find a practitioner who knows his/her shit.
