WHO Reportedly Convening Emergency Meeting on Monkeypox
The World Health Organization is reportedly convening an emergency meeting on the alarming spread of monkeypox around the world — including a possible case in the Big Apple. The United Nations’ health authority is bringing together leading experts on the rare disease as a number of new countries announced their first confirmed cases Friday, according to the Telegraph.
The main concern is how the virus — usually concentrated in West Africa — may be spreading, the UK paper noted, with many of the new cases among people who had not recently traveled.
The WHO will also be examining why clusters include gay or bisexual men, the paper said, with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) giving similar warnings.
“Many of these global reports of monkeypox cases are occurring within sexual networks,” said Inger Damon, director of the CDC’s Division of High-Consequence Pathogens and Pathology. However, the CDC stressed that the concerns should not be limited to gay men, noting, “Those who have any sort of close personal contact with people with monkeypox could potentially also be at risk.”

"Contrary to popular belief, it was not the government that shut down the U.S. economy in 2020, but central bankers spearheaded by the privately-owned New York Fed—the largest of the twelve regional banks that make up the privately owned Federal Reserve (“Fed”) system."
A college classmate of mine, whom I only knew by boys' vocal fascination with her beauty, intelligence and international connections was Lael Brainerd who was recently named vice chair of The Federal.Reserve.

After 42 years, Chevy Chase boutique Lemon Twist is closing

Sally Prince has been the owner of an adorable woman's boutique in the wealthy DC suburbs of Maryland for decades. One of my siblings loved to shop there for pastel cotton twin sets and khakis. This article says the Lemon Twist boutique in MD did not survive 'COVID' but the shop in Ponte Vedra, Florida is still operating. (Florida, that state that didn't/doesn't comply.)
I met Sally Prince's daughter when living in DC through an old boyfriend, a double Yale graduate and cleantech developer. Their clatch of friends back in the 90s included Matt Arnold who sold his nonprofit to World Resources International, another "non-profit" addressing climate change via big banks. I find it sadly ironic that the people banging the 'climate change' and 'COVID' drums contribute to the demise of their own families' businesses.
