Dr. Wondwossen Amtataw, an Ethiopian consultant General Surgeon as well as Endocrine and Breast Surgeon has become a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS)

The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon’s name mean that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.

Tazma Medical and Surgical Specialized Center is delighted to announce the successful completion of our free open-heart surgery mission in Jigjiga, Ethiopia. This mission was hosted at the Jigjiga University Sheikh Hassan Yabare Comprehensive Specialized Hospital.

This groundbreaking initiative marked a historic milestone as the first-ever free open-heart surgery mission performed by a team of Ethiopian healthcare providers within the country.

We are deeply grateful to the Jigjiga University Sheikh Hassan Yabare Comprehensive Specialized Hospital for their warm hospitality and unwavering support. Our special thanks go out to the President of the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, Mustafa Muhumed, For his visit, recognition and the  guaranteed support his administration as well as the regional health bureau will provide on our subsequent mission and thoughtful lunch at the palace.

We also thank our Tazma team for their dedication and tireless efforts in making this mission a reality. We are proud to have successfully completed this life-changing work by bringing our medical equipment to the region.

In addition to our successful open-heart surgeries, we have formalized our partnership with the Jigjiga University Sheikh Hassan Yabare Comprehensive Specialized Hospital through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This collaboration will enhance our initiatives and empower the hospital to establish open-heart surgery capabilities on its own.

በጅጅጋ ሸይኽ ያባሬ ሪፈራል ሆስፒታል ለተደረገልን አቀባበል እና  መስተንግዶ ምስጋናችን ላቅ ያለ ነው። እንዲሁም ለሶማሊ ክልል ፕሬዚዳንት አቶ ሙስጠፌ መሀመድ ላደረጉት የስራ ጉብኝት፣ ማበረታቻ እና በክልሉ ቤተመንግስት ለተዘጋጀልን ልዩ ግብዣ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።

በተጨማሪም ይህን የሕይወት አድን ተግባር እውን ለማድረግ እና በተሳካ ሁኔታ እንዲጠናቅ የሕክምና መሣሪያችንን ወደ ክልሉ ድረስ በማምጣት በብዙ ጥረት እና ቁርጠኝነት ለሠሩት ለሁሉም የታዝማ ቤተሰቦች ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።
