In a strategic partnership, the Ministry of Health (MoH) and HABTech Solutions have collaborated to establish regional DHIS2 support units across all regions and city administrations in Ethiopia.
To ensure the initiative’s success, HABTech Solutions has implemented a comprehensive capacity-building program designed to enhance the skills of the regional DHIS2 support units. The program focuses on key areas, including data entry accuracy, validation techniques, and advanced analytics. By equipping teams with these essential skills, HABTech Solutions aims to enhance data quality standards, support more informed decision-making, and strengthen health program monitoring.
Ultimately, this effort is expected to improve healthcare delivery throughout Ethiopia, providing the foundation for effective, data-informed public health services that meet the needs of communities across the country.

This event focused on the development of the national Center of Excellence (CoE) and Demonstration Woreda guidelines, a critical step toward strengthening the health information system in Ethiopia.
During the workshop, stakeholders from various CBMP universities, the MOH, and HABTech came together to review and refine the guidelines that will serve as a model for improving health service delivery at different level. The collaborative efforts are aimed at fostering local leadership and ensuring sustainable health system improvements across Ethiopia.

Held from January 2 to 3, 2025, the workshop aimed to #strengthen governance, build capacity, cascade national DHIS2 technical support expertise to regions, and ensure the sustainability of DHIS2 implementation.
Throughout the workshop, participants provided insights into successful governance models and collaborated to finalize the Governance Framework. The governance framework defines the rationale, objectives, scope, support unit hierarchy, monitoring and evaluation processes, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the Technical Support Unit. The framework will help enhance coordination, improve technical support, and ultimately contribute to better health outcomes across the regions.
