Ostara, spelled Ēostre in Old English, is the Germanic goddess of the dawn, the shining one who revives the land after winter.
The most well known source on her is Bede, who wrote that the pagan Anglo Saxons held feasts in her honour during Ēosturmōnaþ (likely April), which was replaced by Paschal Month and later Easter after the Christian takeover.
Jacob Grimm also wrote that Ostaramōnaþ was celebrated on the continent, with feasts, games and bonfires in April/May.
Some modern playgans egregiously claim that Ēostre was an invention of Bede, despite the fact that the dawn goddess appears in virtually every branch of Indo-European religion, and in the Rig Veda, Ushas is mentioned more than any other goddess.
In Deutsche Mythologie, Jacob Grimm dug further into continental etymological evidence. He notes that in Old High German, the term ôstar (Old Norse/Gothic: austra/áustr) “expresses movement towards the rising sun.”
He also noted the many similarities to the Slavic goddess Vesna, and a deity named Austri is mentioned in Gylfaginning, which Sturluson describes as a “spirit of light”.
Ostara has several direct cognates; Eos (Greek), Aurora (Roman), Vesna or Zarya (Slavic) and Ushas (Vedic). Her reconstructed Proto Indo European name would be Hausos. In Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, She’s known as Marici.
Ostara’s sacred animal is the hare. Both in England and Germany, imagery of hares and rabbits were always associated with the spring festivals, going as far back as the Stone Age. As hares are some of the first animals to come out of hibernation, an old German folk tradition said that their hopping is what awakens Ostara from her winter slumber.

То је био један од првих одговора отпора самосвесних Срба на терор и дивљање девијантних и деструктивних друштвених појава, који су, како онда тако и данас, деловали на улицама и факултетима.
