" In life,you're either a winner or a loser "
A wonderful cinematic experience, although a bit one-sided, but it doesn't spoil anything!
MICHAEL ( released in April,2026) is the cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known.
The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world. Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.
🔥The part of Michael Jackson in adulthood is played by his nephew Jaafar Jackson!
👇In the comments, I'll leave the pdf of poetry + essays written by Michael Jackson

🌺 My outdoor reading space 🌺
Silent conversations with nature and myself are what summer time can offer.
Being absorbed in a book while surrounded by nature isn’t just relaxing; it’s life-changing. Think of outdoor reading as a refreshing infusion of fresh air into your daily routine.
It’s like a mental spa, where every page you turn helps scrub away the mental clutter left by daily stresses and an intensive scholastic year.
🌻 I'm completely sure that here in my small community there are like-minded people who also try incorporating outdoor reading into their daily routines. Summer can embrace all of us ,with books or without.
P.S. Книга Фрасуазы Саган читается с наслаждением и мы скоро обсудим ее в литературном клубе Bedlam .
Let us feel summer ☀️
The photos are from Pavlovsk,a huge gorgeous park-museum ( no airbrushing or filters )
Have a sunny week !
Love,
Yulia ❤️

🫠Bringing back fond memories.....
2 years had already seamlessly passed since we had our Book Club meeting back in 2024 and we were talking about Oscar Wilde and his short fiction. I miss our talks....
Oscar Wilde never gives you a chance to pretend. He demands clarity and direct conversations.
His prose juggles sharp but yet aristocratic humor, wit, lyrisism, love and polemic.
His symbolism could not be more explicit and it is the way only Oscar Wilde was able to do.
What I want to share here with you is a pdf worksheet created by me with care and enormous love .
Inside of it, you'll find
👉a short biography
👉the link to the documentary about life and art of Oscar Wilde
👉full guide how to lead a meaningful discussion on two short stories by Oscar Wilde ( 100% learner-friendly for the levels B2 up to C1 )
See comments 👇
P.S. Leave a + and I'll send the book to you on your email.
P.S.S. If anybody happens to be in SPB in July, let me know 😉Why not catching up and spending time together?

✨Second Summer Reading option✨
Some Bright Nowhere by Ann Parker (2025)
Eliot and his wife Claire have been happily married for four decades. They've raised two children in their sleepy Connecticut town and have weathered the inevitable ups and downs of a long life spent together. But eight years after Claire was diagnosed with cancer, the end is near, and it's time to gather loved ones and prepare for the inevitable.
Over the years of Claire's illness, Eliot has willingly—lovingly—shifted into the role of a caregiver. But as he focuses on settling into what will be their last days and weeks together, Claire makes an unexpected request that leaves him reeling. In a moment, his carefully constructed world is shattered.
What if your partner's dying wish broke your heart? How well do we know the deepest desires of those we love?
As Eliot is confronted with this profound turning point in his marriage and his life, he grapples with the man and husband he's been, and with the unknowns of Claire's last days.

✨Third Summer reading option ✨
Us by David Nicholls (2015)
Translated into 37 different languages!
Douglas Petersen may be mild-mannered, but behind his reserve lies a sense of humor that, against all odds, seduces beautiful Connie into a second date and eventually into marriage. Now, almost three decades after their relationship first blossomed in London, they live more or less happily in the suburbs with their moody seventeen-year-old son, Albie; then Connie tells him that she wants a divorce.
The timing couldn’t be worse. Hoping to encourage her son’s artistic interests, Connie has planned a month-long tour of European capitals, a chance to experience the world’s greatest works of art as a family. Douglas is convinced that this landmark trip will rekindle the romance in the marriage and might even help him bond with Albie.
Narrated from Douglas’s honest, slyly witty point of view, Us is the story of a man trying to rescue his relationship with the woman he loves and learning how to get closer to a son.
