Falling softly from the sky onto me.
Took my hands into yours,
Held them so delicately
It felt like a dream,
Or more like a fairytale...
Where you were the princess,
And I didn’t even know who I was.
You stayed before my eyes,
Like a river that had stopped flowing.
You kept coming closer,
Each second stealing the distance between us
Until not even a wisp of air remained.
You hugged me like a soul,
Made me crave your touch,
Made me ache for your presence.
I wanted you like a child longs for warmth.
I needed you like the Earth needs the Sun
To turn you into my glow in the dark,
And shine like the Moon when I faded.
But dreams don’t last.
And suddenly, it vanished.
I realized
How could a river ever stop flowing?
You drifted away to your path,
And I stood still at the shore,
Watching...
