🍦 GRID IDEA #02 — THE ICE CREAM SCOOP WAS INVENTED 129 YEARS AGO

Imagine serving ice cream without the modern scoop. 😭

In 1897, inventor Alfred L. Cralle patented a special tool designed specifically for serving ice cream.

🍨 His invention had a thumb-operated mechanism and a scraper, allowing the server to release the ice cream easily without it sticking to the utensil.

Basically, the ancestor of the ice-cream scoop we use today was already designed more than a century ago.
And here's the cool part:

🧠 Cralle came up with the idea after noticing how difficult it was for servers to hold an ice-cream cone in one hand while struggling with a spoon in the other.
Sometimes, a simple everyday problem leads to a clever invention.

Would you have thought about inventing a scoop? 👀
