Timoner y Quiroga, ecologistas de derechas: “Hasta los votantes de Vox creen en el cambio climático”
Cargan contra la izquierda y Greta Thunberg, pero a ellos también les preocupa el cambio climático. Toni Timoner (45 años, Palma de Mallorca) y Luis Quiroga (47 años, Oviedo) acaban de lanzar un libro que se titula El ecologista de derechas (ediciones Deusto), que está prologado por el expresidente José María Aznar y será presentado en Madrid el 16 de abril por la diputada del PP Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo. Los dos autores viven en Londres, Timoner trabaja como economista de escenarios en un gran banco del distrito financiero y Quiroga se dedica a invertir para distintos fondos, a menudo con operaciones vinculadas a la transición energética. Juntos crearon en 2022 el think tank ambiental Oikos y ahora plasman sus ideas en este libro en el que reivindican que la derecha de un paso al frente en la lucha contra el calentamiento del planeta. En su ecologismo de corbata, defienden el capitalismo, a la vez que advierten de que “no actuar o actuar tarde conlleva costes —económicos, sociales y morales— mayores que una transición ordenada”. La entrevista se realizó por videollamada y las fotos se tomaron durante sus vacaciones de Semana Santa en Palma de Mallorca.

El presidente de la patronal Foment del Treball, Josep Sánchez Llibre, ha tirado este miércoles de las orejas al alcalde de Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, por sus políticas de vivienda, presión fiscal o movilidad. Cuando falta un año y poco para las elecciones municipales, en un acto del ciclo Rethink BCN en la sede de la gran patronal catalana, Sánchez Llibre ha enumerado las que a su juicio son “algunas carpetas abiertas del actual mandato”, que ha confiado en que el alcalde “aborde”. “No podemos estar satisfechos con la situación de la vivienda, no se ha podido eliminar la reserva del 30% [de pisos para VPO], no hay grúas en el horizonte de la ciudad”, ha comenzado su listado de agravios el presidente: “Sería un punto negativo en su mandato si no se aborda”. Sánchez Llibre también ha criticado la “mayor presión impositiva, como es el caso del incremento de la tasa turística”, y ha echado en falta “colaboración en la movilidad entre el sector público y privado”. Hace unas semanas, el presidente de Foment también cuestionó las políticas de vivienda del president Salvador Illa.
