Turkey lists six reasons why they sent Oruc Reis back to the east med, some of which included The joint Greek-US military exercises in Thrace, and that Greece is procuring Israeli drones to patrol its own borders like Turkey routinely does
>https://archive.is/BMEAt
1️⃣ The joint Greek-US military exercises between September 14 and 18 in Thrace, where the "Turkish minority lives in Hellas".
2️⃣ the NAVTEXissued on September 15 by Greece for military exercises in Chios "which is under demilitarization regime" and in similar exercises in Lemnos which "is also under the same regime".
3️⃣ The Turkish Foreign Ministry still accuses Greece of aerial exercises in Chios, Kos and Rhodes and in the NOTAM issued between October 27th and 2nd, which "also affected the freedom of aviation".
4️⃣Ankara also complains about the extended and geographically extended NAVTEX issued by Greece in the Aegean, citing "examples".
5️⃣ Also the Turkish Foreign Minister Ankara states that in addition to the violations of the "demilitarized" zones, Greece also violates the bilateral moratorium of 1988 by defining two separate exercises for October 29, which is the National Day of Turkey, which caused, as they report, the corresponding response of Ankara for October 28.
6️⃣ Finally, the Turkish Foreign Minister blames Greece for the recent NOTAM between October 13 and 18 because it covers the area of activities of Oruts Reyes, while it also protests about the information that wants Greece to procure UAVs from Israel for use in the region.
