🇨🇵👳🏾‍♂️ 200 TERRORISTS RELEASED TO SAVE A 75 YEARS OLD HUMANITARIAN WORKER HELD AS HOSTAGE IN MALI

👵🏻 A few minutes ago, France confirmed the release of Sophie Pétronin.

✊🏾 The 75-year-old humanitarian had been captured by a group linked to Al Qaeda in Mali. She was in Mali to help the black population.

💣 More than 200 Islamist terrorists were released in exchange for the hostage.

📌 This strategy of liberating terrorists is often criticized by some people. But this is a marketing success for Macron : the last French hostage detained in the world was released.

" Dear President

With this letter we want to express our deep concern about the intention to open the beach of Varosia in Cyprus in violation of United Nations resolutions and the long-term policy of our country.

We urge you to contact President Erdogan directly to reverse this decision. We also encourage you to work through the SA. to ensure the implementation of the existing resolutions of the Varos Agency.

Through his actions in Varosha and his support for Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, President Erdogan is working feverishly to change the situation on the ground while the West is busy with other events. The United States must reverse this situation and make it clear that we have a strong interest in events throughout the region. This starts with your involvement and the involvement of the Foreign Minister.

We support a return to dialogue after months of tension in Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean, but Erdogan's move to Varos seriously calls into question Turkey's genuine diplomatic commitment.

In cooperation with the EU the United States must take the lead in condemning these acts. The United States must also lead UN initiatives to implement the resolutions on Varos, including Resolution 550 of 1984 calling for the transfer of control of the city to the UN and 789 of 1992. Without such strong messages from the United Nations Turkey will feel empowered to take further steps that will permanently damage hopes for a bi-communal bi-zonal federation.

We understand that you have a close relationship with President Erdogan and that you communicate with him often. We support cooperation with foreign leaders if it promotes US interests.

Please work with a sense of urgency and use your friendship with President Erdogan to ask him to comply with the SA resolutions. to stop undermining the prospects for reunification negotiations "
