A Roman copy of a Greek original depicting Goddess Selene - the original was from the early 4th century BC., while this piece is from early imperial times.
She is wearing a chiton and her himation forms the billowing shape behind her. The attributes that confirms her identification is, apart from the raised cloak, the crescent moon on her head the torch in her hand (it might look like the sheath for a dagger, but it's not - but the flame itself is gone).
Selene was the Greek moon goddess (her Roman equivalent was Luna), the daughter of Hyperion and Theia, and the sister of Helios (the sun) and Eos (the dawn). In Classical times she was often identified with Artemis (and in Rome, Diana).
