🔸 As the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" writes, Turkey has decided to "freeze" the purchase of 10 helicopters from Italy, in retaliation for the statements of the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, who on Thursday called Erdogan a dictator

🔸 The sale of 10 AW169 helicopters of the Italian state group Leonardo, which had been agreed since March, "froze". The total cost of the deal reaches 70 million euros, with the possibility of additional agreements, with a total value of 150 million euros

The Derveni Krater from the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki
Date: 4th century BC.
Provenance: Discovered in 1962 Derveni's tomb 2, Macedonia, Greece.

The decoration is extremely rich and the main theme portrays Dionysus with Ariadne, where the god was depicted as a young and beardless beside Ariadne. Four statuettes were applied next to the handles depicting: young Dionysus, a sleeping drunken satyr, a sleeping maenad and finally, a maenad in ecstasy. Initially the decoration with the scene of Dionysus and Ariadne was not intended as a funerary scene but later on the urn was used for a funerary purpose.

🔴 The Burning of the Turkish/Ottoman Flagship by Konstantinos Kanaris

🔥 At Chios, on the moonless night of 6–7 June 1822, forces under Kanaris' command destroyed the flagship of the Ottoman admiral Nasuhzade Ali Pasha in revenge for the Chios massacre.

🔥 The admiral was holding a Bayram celebration, allowing Kanaris and his men to position their fire ship without being noticed. When the flagship's powder store caught fire, all men aboard were instantly killed. The Turkish casualties comprised 2,300 men, both naval officers and common sailors, as well as Nasuhzade Ali Pasha himself
