πŸ“° Article
[...]
πŸ”Έ β€œWhereas the Tweede Kamer [Dutch parliament] has already unanimously recognized the Armenian genocide since 2004 with the Rouvoet motion, followed thereafter by explicit recognition by parliament through the Voordewind et al. motion in 2018, the House of Representatives believes that there is more urgency than ever for countries to clearly speak out about the past in order to advance reconciliation and prevent repetition in the future"

πŸ”Έ1.5 million Armenians, more than 300,000 Pontic Greeks and up to another 700,000 other Greeks, as well as 300,000 of the regions estimated 700,000 Syriacs (Assyrians-Chaldeans-Arameans) were massacred during the Ottoman genocide

πŸ”Έ More than 200,000 were forcefully displaced or deported south.

πŸ”΄ Ancient Roman Aqueduct in Lesvos is in danger as a recent storm took down metal supports that had been installed to prevent it from collapsing in previous years
>https://archive.is/W8SBV

πŸ“° Article
[...]
πŸ”Έ "The only standing ancient monument of Lesvos and the
islands of the Northeast Aegean is in danger of collapsing.

πŸ”Έ The "Medea", which passed violently through the islands of the NE Aegean, worsened the already aggravated situation of the Ancient Aqueduct of Moria.
The fixing and restoration of the monument, which began before the second millennium, was stopped in 2002.

πŸ”Έ In 2004, metal supports were placed temporarily, until the next necessary amount for the continuation of the works was approved.

πŸ”Έ Unfortunately, the temporary support became permanent, until the passage of Medea completely destroyed it, with the result that the threat of collapse, even by non-experts, is visible"

πŸ”΄ Today is officially the 1 year anniversary since I (Brazilbro from /GBG/ Threads on 4chan) started covering Greek news along with other anons such as Lesbro, Chiosbro, Croatbro, Greekbro and several others

πŸ”Έ it has been an honor to see that so many people enjoyed the threads and the content posted on the channel, I never really expected it to grow so much or to get so much positive feedback on it.

πŸ”Έ I believe that these platforms along with the efforts made by everyone involved were able to spread the word and bring awareness to several issues which in many cases are not reported by the Mainstream Media or maybe due to a language barrier wont get shared as much as it should

πŸ”Έ My goal was never fame or any other sort of personal gain, which is why I have always remained anonymous. My goals has always been to make people aware of the problems faced by Greece, be those problems the tensions with Turkey, an Anti-Europe country which is being armed and funded by Europe itself, or the fact that illegal immigrants are destroying Greece or anything else, because these problems seem localized and isolated but are not, not only is the problem of immigration common in most Western European countries but the Turkish influence and islamization of Europe is something present in most European countries, most of the times funded directly by Turkey without even using fronts to disguise its intentions

πŸ”Έ The idea is to open the eyes of people, Greece might be seen as a small country by many but the cultural and historical impact of Greece in the west is probably unparalleled since the basis for most sciences today have their foundations built by the ancient Greeks or have been largely improved by them.

πŸ”Έ Europeans should support Europeans before they support anyone else, regardless of personal interests or beliefs, if Europeans dont stand for other Europeans and try to defend them, who will?

πŸ”Ί I thank every person who has assisted me or supported me in any of these platforms so far, be that 4chan, Twitter or Telegram, making a list would be useless and make this post too long, but you know who you are and I wish the best to all of you

πŸ”΄ Locals from Lesvos protested yesterday the creation of one more immigrant camp in the island with a caravan that had hundreds of vehicles

🟒 it is surprising that Greeks still think protests will change something, even despite local authorities such as Mayors and Governors also participating in protests and showing their opposition to such projects, it never stops the government from doing it

🟒 Greeks should look for other ways of having their will respected, be that by sabotaging the camp's construction or rioting which seems to be one of the few things that makes European governments listen to what people have to say
