Town in Argentina goes dark amid massive bug infestation (VIDEOS)
The Argentinean town of Santa Isabel has been forced to shut off its lights for several days in an effort to persuade the millions of bugs that have invaded its streets to leave and look for another place to stay.
The town of some 2,500 in Argentina’s central province of La Pampa has been plagued by swarms of beetles for over a week. “They’re everywhere – in the houses, in the shops,” Deputy Mayor Cristian Echegaray complained to the media.

Most detailed 3D map of universe released
The most detailed 3D map of the universe to date, showing the location of 7.5 million galaxies, has been published by the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) cosmic survey project.
Each dot in the image represents an individual galaxy, consisting of between 100 billion and one trillion stars. The map shows the view from Earth for five billion light-years in the direction of the Virgo constellation, slowly shifting toward the Bootes constellation.

Turkey striving for rapid de-dollarization
The process of de-dollarizing the Turkish economy will be accelerated in the coming weeks, according to Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati.
The government will step up the conversion of the nation’s foreign currency holdings into Turkish lira, he said, adding that more than 131 billion lira ($9.69 billion) had been deposited in accounts under the plan.
