Joan Poh may look like any other ordinary nurse - maybe just a little tanner, and with muscles that rival that of a professional athlete. 💪

That's because she is one. When the scrubs are off, Joan heads to the waters, working on perfecting that rowing stroke which may land her a spot in the Olympics one day. 🏆

From chasing an Olympic dream to jumping right back into nursing when COVID-19 hit - here’s her story: https://youtu.be/HfZxeSfj928

To move safely into Phase 3, we need:

😷 Small group sizes, safe distancing, social responsibility

📱 Higher adoption of TraceTogether (TT)
- For quick contact tracing as group sizes increase
- Download the app or collect the token at token.gowhere.gov.sg

🦠 Pre-event Covid-19 testing
- For larger-scale & higher-risk activities
- Participants to be tested before events
- Trials at B2B events, wedding receptions etc

✔️ What to expect in Phase 3:
- 8-person gatherings (up from current 5)
- Multiple zones of 50 pax for events
- More travel to resume

Certain high risk activities may not resume:
- E.g. bars, pubs, karaoke lounges & nightclubs
- Exploring limited pilots for this industry to resume safely

“I often come up with volunteering ideas, but without Amanda, they would just remain ideas.” 💡

Starting something new is never easy. This is why Oliver’s grateful for the support of his wife, Amanda. 👫

The couple founded TheSimpleDeed - a volunteer network that sews and distributes masks with transparent panels - initially for seniors, and later on for other communities. 🧵
