Dengue transmission and prevention tips

⚠️ Uninfected female mosquito bites a dengue-infected person ➡️ gets infected with the dengue virus ➡️ can transmit dengue to other healthy individuals it bites

🙅‍♂️ Dengue patients should prevent themselves from getting bitten further
- Spray insecticide around the house
- Apply mosquito repellent regularly
- Wear long-sleeve tops and long pants

🦟 If you live in a dengue cluster area/ area with more Aedes mosquitoes
- Apply mosquito repellent regularly – you have a higher risk of getting bitten and infected

🔎 Check for mosquito breeding habitats in your home at least once a week
- The Aedes mosquito’s life cycle is as short as 7 days
- Checking once is not enough!
