🚨 Latest updates from the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (30 Nov):

🔹 From 3 Dec, all travellers entering or transiting through Singapore will need to obtain a negative Pre-Departure Test result within 2 days of departure

🔹Weekly PCR Routine Rostered Testing for airport & other border frontline workers who may come into contact with travellers from countries/regions affected by the Omicron variant

- 1,113 warded in hospital
- 216 require oxygen supplementation in general ward, 13 under close monitoring in ICU and 65 critically ill in ICU
- 58.5% overall ICU utilisation rate
- 1,399 cases were discharged; 276 seniors aged 60 years and above
- 96% of eligible population has completed full vaccination regime

🦠 Containing Omicron variant risk

From 3 Dec:
🔹 All incoming travellers must show -ve result for Pre-Departure Test (PDT) taken within 2 days of departure for SG
➡️ Those entering SG, including from Cat II (non-VTL), III & IV countries, must take PCR test on arrival
➡️ VTL air travellers must also undergo ART at Quick Test Centre on Days 3 & 7 of arrival
➡️ VTL travellers via land links with Malaysia will need a PDT & on-arrival ART

Updates to Safe Management Measures

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce has announced the following updates to Safe Management Measures with effect from 1 January 2022:

▪️ 50% of the employees who can work from home will be allowed to return to the office. Social gatherings at the workplace will continue to be disallowed.

▪️ Recovered persons from COVID-19 who are not fully vaccinated will only be given a 180-day exemption after infection to enter settings where Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS) are implemented.

▪️ Removal of concession for unvaccinated individuals to perform a pre-event test (PET) in lieu of being fully vaccinated.

VDS settings will be expanded further with effect from 1 February 2022. Subsidies for sectors on mandatory Rostered Routined Testing (RRT) will be extended to 31 March 2022.

Strengthening Resilience against Omicron Variant

😷 Enhanced Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS)
➡️ From 1 Feb 2022, VDS extended to:
🔹 All events, irrespective of pax
🔹 Indoor sports facilities, Institutes of Higher Learning and leisure guests in hotels, serviced apartments & hostels
➡️ From 1 Jan 2022, VDS exemption for non-vaccinated COVID-19 recovered persons will be reduced from 270 to 180 days

💻 From 1 Jan 2022, 50% of employees who can WFH can return to office
🔹 Must be fully vaccinated

🚍VTL (Land) with Malaysia extended to citizens of both countries from 20 Dec

🔹 Walk-in to any Moderna vaccination centre w/o an appointment if you are ≥18 y.o. & your last vaccination was at least 5 months ago

🔹 Those fully vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty vaccines are encouraged to take Moderna as their booster for added protection
➡️ Moderna booster has a slight edge in reducing the risk of COVID-19 infection

🏡 Seniors can visit mobile vaccination sites in heartlands for their booster shots
