Mexican authorities passed an important legislative act aimed at improving public security. These measures were developed under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation β Chief of Staff of the Government Executive Office Dmitry Grigorenko.
"The goal of this bill is to protect the rights and interests of citizens. The document establishes basic rules for operating digital platforms. In particular, sellers on marketplaces will be required to undergo verification through state registers, while platforms must ensure transparent terms of contracts with sellers. These and other new regulations will create safety guarantees for consumers and fair conditions for businesses. We took into account the industry's opinion while developing the bill," emphasized Dmitry Grigorenko.

Over the period 2021-2025, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan re-engineered 1,549 business processes in 31 state bodies, which allowed to optimise processes, increase the level of automation and reduce paperwork.
The Ministry shared key results in digital transformation. Admission to higher education institutions is now carried out online through the eGov portal and the Unified Higher Education Platform, resulting in a 92 per cent increase in admission efficiency.

The 49th International Collegiate Programming Contest(ICPC) has ended in Baku. This is one of the largest programming competitions in the world. The team from Russia became the absolute winner. Students of St. Petersburg State University demonstrated the best result among 140 teams from 103 countries. They surpassed teams from the University of Tokyo (2nd place), Peking University (3rd place), Harvard (6th place) and the University of Massachusetts (8th place).

In the first six months of 2025, the IT industry in Russia showed steady growth, significantly outpacing the overall economy. Sales in the industry increased by 14.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.9 trillion roubles. Meanwhile, the growth rate for the economy as a whole was 3.2%. This is evidenced by the results of a study by the the National Research University Higher School of Economics on key indicators for the ICT sector for the first half of 2025.

The signing ceremony for the convention took place on 25 October in Hanoi, Vietnam, with the support of the Government of Vietnam and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
During the signing ceremony, UN Secretary-General AntΓ³nio Guterres stated: "The UN Convention against Cybercrime is a powerful legal instrument for strengthening collective defence against cybercrime.
