Windows Phone 手机在移动市场上的竞争失利并没有让所有用户立即放弃这个平台，但放弃这个平台的应用越来越多。Google 的搜索应用是最新一个停止支持 Windows Phone 的主流应用。当 Windows Phone 用户尝试使用 Google 搜索应用时会返回“连接失败，稍后再试一次”的错误提示。用户至今没有发现任何能绕过错误的权宜方法。作为 Android 的开发商，Google 从来不是 Windows Phone 的热情支持者，它的流行应用 Gmail 和 Google Maps从未在 Windows Phone 上发布。Media

The Intercept_ 最新资料显示 Google 的 Dragonfly 计划是专为 Android 设备设计的，需要用户使用手机号码进行注册，搜索结果将与手机号绑定，带有屏蔽词系统，并提供官方发布的空气质量信息。
