When I feel things in this world don’t make sense, I like to go back to the things that are real and wonderful and meaningful; the things that make life magical.
And this is magical to me:
“When pregnant, the cells of the baby migrate into the mothers bloodstream and then circle back into the baby, it’s called “fetal-maternal microchimerism”.
For 41 weeks, the cells circulate and merge backwards and forwards, and after the baby is born, many of these cells stay in the mother’s body, leaving a permanent imprint in the mothers tissues, bones, brain, and skin, and often stay there for decades. Every single child a mother has afterwards will leave a similar imprint on her body, too.
Even if a pregnancy doesn't go to full term or if the mother had an abortion, these cells still migrate into her bloodstream.
Research has shown that if a mother's heart is injured, fetal cells will rush to the site of the injury and change into different types of cells that specialize in mending the heart.
The baby helps repair the mother, while the mother builds the baby.
This is often why certain illnesses vanish while pregnant.
It’s incredible how mothers bodies protect the baby at all costs, and the baby protects & rebuilds the mother back - so that the baby can develop safely and survive.
Studies have found cells from a fetus in a mother’s brain 18 years after she gave birth.
If you’re a mom you know how you can intuitively feel your child even when they are not there….Well, now there is scientific proof that moms carry them for years and years even after they have given birth to them.
I find this to be so very beautiful.

NASA Quietly Activates Planetary Defense Network for 3I/ATLAS Without Saying a Word
Buried in tonight’s official MPEC (2025-U142) the Minor Planet Center’s internal bulletin is an editorial notice that says it all:
“Announcement of IAWN Comet Astrometry Campaign Nov. 27, 2025 – Jan. 27, 2026.”
“The campaign will target comet 3I/ATLAS (C/2025 N1).”
Be clear that this is not a Reddit rumor, 4chan leak, this is straight from the IAU, hosted on Harvard’s Minor Planet Center, issued on behalf of NASA’s International Asteroid Warning Network, the same group that coordinates global tracking in planetary-defense scenarios.
So this is whats happening, for the first time in history, an interstellar object namely 3I/ATLAS has been formally enrolled in a planetary defense–level observation campaign.
They’re calling it “a test of improved astrometry methods.”
In other words the object isn’t behaving like it should.

So in 2010, thirty-five Australian special forces soldiers were pinned down by 100 Taliban fighters and should have died near a village called Tizak.
The situation was so bad, local ‘friendly’ Afghani soldiers who were supposed to be helping the Australians began speaking their native language on a radio, trying to do a deal with the Taliban. They agreed to murder the Australians to save their own skins.
But despite being outgunned and outnumbered, Ben Roberts Smith & his small patrol group attacked the Taliban positions and somehow won the battle.
He’s pictured here after that battle wearing a ‘crusader’ patch on his uniform.
Someone should make a movie about this guy.
