Once you realize that 1) Most people don't know what has happened (history), and 2) Most people don't understand cause and effect (future), then you understand the depth of the real trouble we're in as the human race. Aimless. Reactionary. Illiterate. Irrational. And deeply engaged in actions contingent upon the rejection of the laws of the cosmos. No wonder humanity hasn't actually progressed for generations. We are sliding backwards into simple-minded primates... but primates that are wholly unfamiliar with the natural world around them.
